Janie Ann Slaughter was born June 7, 1917 in Rougemont, Durham Co., NC, and died September 9, 2004 at her home in Vanceboro, NC. She married William Thomas “Tom” Lewis on February 25, 1934 in Chocowinity, NC. She was the daughter of Charlie Bratcher Slaughter and Mary Frances “Fannie” Wrenn.
